Seriously I know exactly how you feel because we've been there before and I know its not a good feeling.
Who went then, and what did you genuinely think of the day out at Oakwell ?
I think most of us went. I thought the day out at Oakwell was good, apart from the second half debacle. I have had some bad views at other Championship grounds like Swilsborough for example. I have to say I thought your number 5 at the back was brilliant today. Danny Ward didn't win a header all game. Hammill also looked good, although why we didn't have a defensive midfield player on the pitch like Smallwood is anyones guess. That's what we missed in the second half, someone to put a tackle in and protect the back 4. Anyway well done, you deserved the win.

Thought we was poor first half (ok showed a bit of energy but not much else) only had 1 shot on target if you could call it that and 33% possession. Second half was like watching my young ones under 10s side no shape or system. But at least my young ones team have a bit more fight than the millers did today. Midfield was none existent today played as individuals rather than at team . UPM hopefully just a blip

Hey up J.L, it sounds like your talking about our new kid Angus McDonald who has come in as the replacement for Alfie Mawson at no5.
(unless your talking about our no4 Mark Roberts who was amazing today).

Both centre backs from lower league teams and great future potential - that has to be the way forward for Champ teams not bankrolled by billionaires...

Just thinkng back to when Mr, Chiropodist was in charge re six-pointer v Franchise away. .knowing that they had their main centre half out suspendeded, and main goalie out injured, we went straight for the kill and won 4-0 ...any chance of that happening under Mr 4-5-1 today? Of course not...and handed the initiative to Barnsley - TACTICALLY NAIVE

Thought Barnsley central defence were superb: mobile, alert, strong ours are slow, ponderous and weak. got to say the future looks rosy for Barnsley can see em having a very good season.

Yeah - reasonably happy at half time thinking how good a team can we have so all the goals to be scored in front of our own fans ! Well - I was nearly right !

But lack of "Dunkirk Spirit" was the worrying part.....the question of the - let's say attitude of loan players can always be called into question when backs are against the wall - with nothing to prove - except of course professional pride?

But I say again - the players can run their blood to water but if they know there is no one to pull the trigger then I can see that being disconcerting - even to a professional.
