KCG. I agree about playing Hughes further forward but you fail to say who is going to play the holding role With no Hendrick and Thorne out till at least Xmas Who is the manager supposed to play there Can just imagine the reaction if he plays Johnson or Baird there

If we haven't the players available to play the role, we play without a DM. It worked second half against Villa.

The point is we play him there, we don't concede but We DON'T SCORE!! So we can't win games because we DON'T SCORE!! At least further forward we have a chance of scoring and putting teams on the back foot so we might SCORE and even win!!

Tell me a team that plays without a midfielder in front of the back four Yes we improved second half against Villa but did you see their goalie have make a save Fans think we can't create or score without Hughes playing forward I wonder how we managed to get to the top of the league a and the playoffs without him for most of last season Remember he never played till April so what do we doif he gets injured give up !!

Good point but then we had other outlets, with players out of form we need to get onto the front foot and Hughes is the one player at present who seems capable of creating positive moves. If others were showing urgency and creativity then ok but at the moment we need Wil more forward and hopefully others will regain confidence and some fluidity will return...........hopefully!!

Mac you're right we do need him forward no argument at the moment he is the only player we have in form Pretty sure the manager knows the problem but until has a different midfield to select from he can't change much Don't forget at Burton he was without Hendrick Johnson Thorne and Hanson

It's a conundrum but I feel that until players either return or show some form we have to go for the 'attack is the best form of defence' policy!!

Well... play to our strengths rather than putting square pegs in round holes and making us bloody useless.
