I think we will finish a lot higher than last season if Stubbs learns quickly enough starting Saturday by putting the right players on the pitch and knowing when to sub/draga player who's being lazy.

Do you think that the current squad is better than last season's? I don't and its not as good as the one that got us promoted at Wembley in my opinion.
Hopefully this signals a move towards more sensible rethoric from Stewart and one that matches the budget he is willing to apply. None of his earlier ramblings have done anything but put Stubbs under pressure.
That said, we must see on field improvement soon otherwise even survival is out of the question. And Stubbs needs to make himself more visible to the fans, particularly on a match day.. We need to see and feel the passion.
I keep seeing this posted but is the 'romance' of the day and the way it panned out clouding judgement? We were 2-0 down and but for a toe poke, a wonder goal and two saves from Collin we would have lost to Orient, and where are they now? Posters keep saying how big the gap is between League 1 and Championship and of the players we had on that day (OK I know they are all two and a half years older now) which ones are playing above where we are now? They played better as a team for us at the time but was the quality that great?
Its a two way thing this passion malarkey. We've had arm waving and foul mouthing on the touchline. Perhaps a studied approach is now needed. Doesn't mean its not hurting him when he loses. As for the fans, there's times when NYS is funereal and you can only hear the away end. I take on board the fact that the team should generate some passion, but lets get behind the them. None of this booing home players (Green last season for example). It does not help. Two big home games and hopefully some points on the board. I personally think that this team has the potential, but needs that bit of luck.
5 games in , so talk of survival or otherwise is premature.
Keep the faith.
Up The Millers.
Time to judge CAM at the seasons end. On one hand many fans are saying that this year is the strongest Championship and "much stronger" than last year, which was "much stronger" than the year before. Wouldn't it therefore be correct to say that if we finish in 18th/19th position we are a better squad than last year. One cant have their cake and eat it too. Or can they?
What surprises me about Alan Stubbs is that he appears to watch most of the game sitting in the dugout.
I fail to see how he can get an appropriate view of the game from that position as it's difficult enough to see what is happening standing up in the technical area.
Or is he just hiding in case things don't go according to plan?![]()
