    The way forward

Won't be under Stubbs. The Warnock way.

Play defenders who can defend, don't play central defenders who never win a ball in the air.

2 holding players in midfield, sacrificing one of the wide men.

Can't go totally Warnock's way cause we haven't got Derbs.

With this in mind side for tues:

Camp; Fisher Ball Wood or Wilson Mattock; Taylor Adeyemi Vaulks Frecks or Newell; Izzy Ward

Taylor or Newell as the wide man.

No Stubbs keeps playing Fry whose not won a ball in the air all the time I've seen him. Defence won't be right till Broadfoot comes back. Got to give defence some protection. Halford will be fatigued for the tues game. Adeyemi & Vaulks as holding midfield players.

The Way Forward was a decent movie about the desert campaign in WW2 starring David Niven. However, for a fan to second guess the manager in such a comprehensive way suggests gwru you are wasted in your present job.

MR nobody wants these brains. Reformed big gambler, problem with RUFC I care. Don't blame TS at all. Stubbs apart from Fisher Ball Vaulks Taylor Izzy can send rest back on a one way ticket.

gwru, much of what I say is meant to be lighthearted. You seem a sound bloke. Btw, in my attempt at "cleverness" I got the film title wrong: It was "The Way Ahead".

The way forward is for T/S to realise who we are,we are NOT a top half Championship side unless we have another 20,30 million pounds,The way forward is for A/S to realise he can't play the football he wants with the players he's got.And yes I know how far we have come & the DVS days but that's in the past,we are what we are but a bit more fight a bit more doing the basics would be a start.

correct but it wasn,t about the desert campaign although it did finish with them in the desert. It was about the training of a group of conscripts and their trials ,made in 1944 and intended to bolster morale in wartime Britain.
