Last nights game for me was disappointing but it sounded better in the second half.
What sort of turn around would make you warm to Stubbs?
It's not an easy one. In fact he could be the only manager I may not have the pleasure in seeing at Rotherham since before Porterfield.
I was at the game last night and yes we had a passage of play that was better.
I'm not expecting points over the next few games realistically.
I'm expecting better performances though and actually giving it a go and not just sitting back and inviting non stop pressure.
If we are clear of the relegation zone at Christmas then I will warm to him.
I don't see point in sacking him now give him more games.
He's had 10 games and one win 3 draws.
We need at least 5 wins from the next 10.
Scary I know.
He's slowly weeding side out. Full backs will do. Centre backs do we stick with Fry? Wood if he's fit a better option than Wilson while Broadfoot is back. Ball stick with him. Might be time for Vaulks to come in for Frecks. Go with Taylor Adeyemi Vaulks Newell across the middle. Ward with Izzy or Blackstock up front.
October looks impossible, but March did under Warnock.
Going to be the end of December before quality of the teams evens its self out. Merry Xmas war is over.
Never thought I say it, stick with Stubbs.
The fact is we will get smashed (probably) in the next few games, it's difficult to judge unless we ship 6 and 7s, but I just feel that under NW or a SE it wouldn't happen.
That said Broadfoot and Wood back and it looks better
It was going to be 5 / 6 / 7 last night
but the lads put a shift in and a fluke goal 2 minutes in and then to come back shows that the manager is instilling belief in the players.
- AS can't kick the ball for them - and - as he wants the team to grow in confidence and belief - ripping them to bits is not an answer.
Alan has taken on one he'll of a challenge coming to our club - this league is massively unfair - financially - and he has brought in some great signings on the back of his name and coaching background - namely EVERTON.
BALL - FRY - ISSY to name but four...
I love him to bits because he's doing what he's doing......I keep harping on about the "system".....but it's common knowledge ( within football ) that the system he is trying to instill is the benchmark - the base on which to build from. And - each game this has become progressively better.....ok....the points have aluded us but the performances are coming.....
I want that guy to concentrate on the game / the players confidence / the coaching of our side.....
What a massive job !
And if he doesn't waive to me then perhaps he's deep in thought...exactly where I want him to be......
Can't see why he's playing catch up - the seasons too young.....
