Imo problems go deeper. We need to plan for a few years and we need to put some really money in for both transfers and wages. My suspicion is that TS will prefer Plan B, ie a return to the lower leagues and promises of jam tomorrow. It's no fun supporting RUFC atm but luckily I have several other clubs including Man. City, Barcelona and Northampton.
10pm Tuesday for me and getting ready to walk the dog for his late night ablutions. Actually came across a pack of howling coyotes last night so all the neighbourhood hounds were going mad. You're up early, hope Mrs Monty had the bacon and eggs on the table

Strange that two of your 3 clubs are the same ones I followed (not Barcelona) but I don't particularly like Man City since they attained mega richness.

I chose Barcelona in the sixties simply because I liked their strip. Northampton also wore a purply number but won me over with their meteoric rise and fall up/down the leagues. I used to be a real Rothman's stato and connosieur of football strips which I painted on my many Subbuteo teams. Man City I liked from the Lee, Bell, Summerbee era but don't follow them now so much for same reason as you.

I always come on here at 5.15 AM and then pop on and off during the day. Been like a graveyard today though with only repeated "Stubbs to stay" messages to keep me amused.

Simply can't understand anyone not enjoying the championship - the awesome teams and little ROFRUM pitting their wits with giants.

    Newcastle on Saturday....brilliant.

Once you understand how we got here and the constraints we have to work within it makes the "details" intriguing - fascinating.

Luck has gone against us so far - small margins - a lucky bounce - remember the atrocious referee against Forest....robbed us of the 3 points there - definate penalty!

We have all the "big team" bias to contend with - and I think the club have boxed clever so far - and when we turn the corner and Alan gets the points on the board we deserve - what will the descenters say.

I have faith that the team performances are improving and the team are playing for the manager.

A leading descenter said "we should have equalised late on" - then went to rubbish everything Rotherham - calling for the managers head.....we were playing the top of the league - their first goal another fluke - and that missed header should have been the winner.....SMALL MARGINS !

We are definitely glass half empty fans.....individuals joining into the MOB mentality - we'll they all seem to enjoy the misery.....We'll I don't buy into that...

UP THE MILLERS....Two years from now and we'll be a championship club with a good academy....

There's optimism, there's loyalty, and then there's just sheer blind stupidity.

I want Rotherham United to be in the Premier League, but as that is highly unlikely, I'd settle for the Championship. Under the current management, I'd expect us to be in League 2 in two years' time.

But Villa have a great squad - great individual players and TWO great managers - and look where they are !
