Can you explain "cleaner" because fracking in America has caused all sorts of issues, google it.

The great Italian physicist Carlo Rovelli has suggested that Homo Sapiens will not survive many more generations. A few hold outs may persist in Wendun's bunker but human civilisation will not survive in any meaningful sense. This thread partly explains why. People (I do not exempt myself) are simply incapable of dealing with the many complex issues which will face us. They seek simplicity. I have no idea whether fracking is a good or bad thing but I am pretty certain that the mob of protesters have not based their position on any rational analysis. With a whole range of issues from global warming to migration we cannot even agree on the nature of the problem (or even if there is a problem) let alone arrive at sensible, attainable solutions. We are well and truly screwed.

Some interesting views, but what amazes me is how easily folks are taken in by the Greenpeace waffle. In my working career I met quite a few Greenpeace folks the majority of which were basically mouthy tree huggers with very little experience of real life.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of it all, remember this, HM Government is a democratically elected body, Greenpeace isn't.

How can anyone have very little experience of real life? given that they're actually, err, living a real life!

Wilfa power station used to use greenpeace to do their monitoring of the water outlet.

They are nutters and are a danger to themselves. The dingy they use for collecting samples looked incedibly unstable when I watched them.

Have a look at this picture. Where the white water is is where greepeace test.

You are having a go at Greenpeace Grist but they are good burning property, smashing windows and causing riots. They also democratically elect their hooligan leaders in University bars...or so I hear.

Regardless, they are cleverer than anyone on here (except Kerr of course)

Agendas are a smokescreen for real agendas- always. I remember our great revolutionary leader of the SWP who it turned out was less interested in the great revolution and more interested in screwing young female party members. These activists aren't interested in saving the planet (though some of the foot soldiers may think they are) they are interested in their own careers, egos and whatever. I've met so many eager beaver politicos and they are really all complete w*nkers.

It was the first place I seen this information tis all, first time I've ever read anything on their website, not claiming they don't waffle but this article doesn't appear to have much in it and when folk are right about something they are right aren't they?

Oh and our democratically elected Governments have committed far more crimes than Greenpeace could ever hope to, but that must be ok, see I'm getting there it's just the pretending it doesn't happen I need help with.

Just seen that about Tony Blair coming back to politics, that might help if that happens especially if he brings that nice chap Alistair Campbell back with him.
