    Noise

I do stick up Mel Morris but the latest news to come out of the ipro is unbelievable they have spent £750,000 on a new PA system to make it the loudest in the country. When I go to the game I like to talk to people sitting next to me. It was very difficult before, with the row being blasted out, now it will be impossible. Luckily (not really) I suffer from noise related hearing loss so the row won't damage my hearing too much but thousands of other will have hearing problems later. Perhaps Mel should read the NID publication on Noise Induced Hearing Loss - long or repeated exposure to sounds at or above 85 decibels can cause hearing loss. Employers are required by law to provide hearing protection for workers exposed to noise over 85 dBA. Surely the Derby County Safety Officer has informed the club about this. Are we all going to be provided with ear defenders on Saturday. Why the hell waste 3/4 million quid on something no one wanted?

Is this true? can't find a mention of it anywhere.

DCFC its Mels money to spend as he chooses, why are you slagging him off for parting company with an employee who he had a problem with? Also he seems to be a bit richer than you which begs the question who is the real idiot???

Part of the problem with the old system was that it became very distorted and prevented people hearing announcements (which would be a health & safety issue) - I suspect because it wasn't powerful enough and was having to be used at full volume - hopefully by having a more powerful system, it won't actually be any louder in real terms, but will sound a lot clearer....

Hopefully not louder, one of my pet hates is being deafened by a PA at a ground, spoils the build of in the atmosphere before the game.

No idea where details of your £3m have come from or how authentic they are. How you can attack the guy for improving the stadium in the way that Gaspode suggests though is completely beyond me. What is it that would actually make you happy...an owner who fails to improve the stadium, doesn't try and improve training facilities, refuses to spend money on trying to improve the squad? Perhaps you should move to Nottingham...quite happy to drive you.

Hopefully it will be CLEARER not louder, that's the modern way. As someone who wakes up to 'Highway To Hell' every morning after getting to close the ACDC bass cabs in '78 it won't help me a lot, but IMO better investment than, lets say, a player
