What'll come first, our new stadium or another Hun liquidation event? Both have been just round the corner for years

Aye. There was me, and aul farmer and his loon(?) just in front of me, one other pro-guy just in front of that, and the Pirie brothers just across to my right. Hard to say there were any other on the non-NIMBY side there.

Largely a bunch of ill-informed pensioners, and wholly of the white settler variety - think the recent Question Time from Dundee, and you'd get how the meeting went.

Got off to a bad start when the ringleader kicked the evening off ****ing on about hooligans, so despite my best intentions, I had to be next up, which I didnt want to be cos I am a nervous public speaker

Anyway, while ringleader had respectful silence, as soon as I spoke i was shouted down. That's how the evening went largely for anyone daring to see the positives. The old farmer in front of me ploughed on bravely all night a number of times.

    The highlights:

    Hooligans

Nae parking (but later they will also object to AFC trying to get more parking)

    Folk pissing in street

Folk coming into Westhill to buy drink cos drinking publicly is allowed in Aberdeenshire, we will then walk to the stadium and drop all our tins/bottles at the "border" where drinking becomes illegal

    Geese/Deer/Rabbits

A944 will be closed on match days

    There's pipelines there

Extra police needed, "who pays for this - we will" - apparently

Price of ma hoose will go down

Price of ma hoose has already gone down (aye, nae oil slump tho)

But the best which got my blood absolutely ****ing boiling - we'd heard all night about people who'd lived there 25-30 years and moved there for the tranquility etc - well, 38 years ago precisely I remember playing football at Westhill primary and there wasnt a single building to the west or north of the pitch, but these utter white settling winkers had the temerity to ask if "these people in favour are even local"? Well aye, forever (with brief foray to guffland) and the outspoken farmer was so clearly a farmer it didn't even need the rhetorical question.

But the bullseye was really hit by the very next speaker who asked "who even owns the land, I've heard it's ACC hence why they want the stadium built there". This guy so local, he didn't know it is owned by the Pirie brothers of the farm immediately adjacent to Westhill, and they were at that moment sitting 15 feet from him.

You literally couldnt make this **** up.

They won't be stopping, these guys believe every piece of pap they spouted. It was a complete circle jerk.

We're getting a "seven storey building?". Christ, and I thought the RDS was high.

Their line now justifying "overwhelming" support is that it was an "open" meeting. Judge for yourself.
