As soon as Warnock showed hesitation Tony Stewart should have dumped him, moved on and looked for the next manager. Stewart is the employer after all!
The chairman simply wasn't strong enough and allowed himself to be strung along so to blame Warnock for messing him around is laughable because it should never have got to that stage.
And now the club is paying the penalty for that piece of mismanagement followed by the disastrous appointment of Stubbs.
