Am I the only fan on here of this gravel-voiced troubadour? Along with Dylan, one of the great lyricists of the 20C and a memorable singing voice.

Be honest didn't know much about him, his songs. Hallelojah didn't know he wrote that. Just played Suzanne on u tube an absolutely beautiful song. R I P

It's an annoying song on some of the cover versions.

The lyrics have lines ending "do ya", "knew ya" and "overthrew ya" so it rhymes with hallelujah, but you get some cover artists that go all queens English and sing knew you, do you and overthrew you. Which doesn't rhyme and makes it rediculous.
