Perhaps Queens should take a leaf out of America's book by rejecting the likes of Jim Thomson and Graeme Robertson and instead look for someone outside main stream football. Will they? Absolutely not so I assume it will be the same old same old.
We are a full-time Championship team playing a part-time SPFL 1 team tomorrow. For once we should all be going along to this game more in expectation than hope.
Are you suggesting a rugby coach or maybe a ballet coach take the job Cresswell? Maybe a Sunday League Football manager someone out from the mainstream?

I have posted so often, JRS, that, with remarkably few exceptions, managers from mainstream football simply perpetuate a system that they know and, sadly for Scottish football, that system is failure. It would probably take a generation or more to conduct the root and branch reform of Scottish football that is needed IF THERE WAS A WILL TO DO SO WHICH THERE PROBABLY ISN'T. Remember that Einstein reputedly said that insanity is doing the same things over and over again but expecting different results: but that is exactly how Scottish football conducts itself. It always sounds like sour grapes to make a comment like this but our national team was soundly beaten last night by what is a not very good England team: but what is worse, despite England being not very good, we don't have a single player who would be picked for the England squad. That should be a worry for every football fan in Scotland. The Jim Thomsons and the Graeme Robertsons of Scottish football are not the solution to the problem they are part of the problem. Break the mould, try something different even if that means appointing a ballet coach. There is one certainty I'd bet money on, JRS. Ballet dancers train a helluva a lot harder than Queen of the South's full-time professional footballers.

It will be a tough match but one we should being winning and I wish Jim & Greame good luck in trying to get us into the semi`s.
Hope the players will be up for this as it would be an extra bonus to win this game for your ex manager Gavin Skelton.
