But if we hold out for a while, Mick McCarthy will get the sack sooner rather than later. Ipswich fans have delusions of grandeur, because of what Sir Alf Ramsey and Sir Bobby Robson did for them, so they think he is rubbish.

Mick McCarthy is exactly the kind of manager we need. A bold, brash Yorkshireman who says it how it is. From the same stock as Colin W@nker actually.

I've always liked McCarthy and I think he is a great manager. We might actually even have a chance of getting him once he gets the old tin tack.
That's who I prefer and there's usually a few to go before Christmas. Let Warney give it at go until Christmas then getMick signed in time for the January window.

I don't usually think this but i do think it HAS to be someone with a Rotherham link to get most people onboard and have that bit extra patience so for me its any of...
    Hursty
    Warney
    Macca
And dare i say it..until the end of the season..Ronnie.

    Don't want an outsider again.

I wouldn't want him to leave Eastleigh where he's doing brilliantly and come back to us when all he'll be really doing is covering up the mess.
It wouldn't be fair on Ronnie!

The question should be, would Ronnie be able to come onboard and do a job next season in said league ? I'd argue that yes, he would be likely do a cracking job in league 1 with a half decent budget that he'd be likely to get.

Get Ronnie back in and start planning for next season.

What's all this Hursty and Ronnie sentiments flying about? They are signed up managers especially Hursty brand new in his role so forget either...

Ronnie came back last time and did nothing.... don't let's tarnish his fantastic memories further that we have of him for us as a glorious player and manager .... it was harsh to see him removed last time...

If we're going cheap which looks inevitable then seek a hungry younger manager from the lower leagues....the bigger names are proving worthless.....any names spring to mind?

Brin whoever we get its allways a massive gamble, even loadsa money doesnt guarantee success,Scunny manager doing well,Curle doing well at Carlisle, our record of management appointments is not good for varying reasons, the only cosistant thing is people getting stuck into the Chairman everytime it goes wrong, look at the facts Robins and Jackett walked out on him after loads of big talk,Warnock messed him around,he went with the fans choice and brought Ronnie back and he was a big failure, takes on Evans against most fans wishes and hey presto it worked but in the end for whatever reason it turned sour, but he is still here running the club and thank heavens he is because who else is there.

I admire the decision Kenny Jackett made,he soon realised what a mess the club are in,and didn't want his reputation tarnishing by the shambles that is RUFC.
