    Neil ardley Wimbledon fc manager.

Got them promoted last season and got them in and around the play offs this season with I can imagine not much money

Perversely any new manager will probably be in a slightly better position this time in that we are going to be relegated and he will be building a squad to get us out of League 1
Therefore the expectations for the rest of this season will be minimal and those of us who still bother turning up may be more patient.
The only problem is that Tony Stewart has to firstly accept we are going down and allow the new guy a free hand to sort things out for next season.
Unfortunately I think he is still insisting we can beat the drop which will put any new manager in a very difficult situation and TS may once again not have the patience for the longer game.

Pocket rocket anyone who thinks we should of got relegated with redfearn needs there needs looking.

What has redfearn done to suggest we would of come straight back up this season with him in much better shape?

Also how much money would the club be missing out on this season from not been in the championship

Didn't say I agreed with it.

The point I think they are trying to make is that at some point we have to give someone time can't keep changing and relegation was inevitable at some point so should have given him time to build something.

Lets be fair Mellow, he can hardly say anything else. Can you imagine what some on here wouod say if he owned up and said "We are down". 66 points left!

Okay, its looking bad. However, I think some of the language on here is extremely disrespectful and I dont see anybody with millions who are going to put some money in to provide the club with much needed finance.

Back on thread, I would love to see McCarthy but can we afford him? Phil Brown could possibly do a job. After that, I'm as clueless as everyone on here.

I understand what they was saying pocket.

I just think redfearn wasn't the man to stick with.

What would supporters prefer relegation this season or last season??

Personally I want relegation next season if we are to go down

if were talking about going down and starting a fresh theres only one manager we should get. his record matches simon grayson (4 promotions in last 10 year) 43% win rate and steve evans (4 promotions in the past 6 years) 43% win rate record in the lower leagues

the man is steve cotterill 5 promotions and two cup wins in the past 15 years even with his poor records at pompy and forest when both clubs were in the sht financially, his win % is over 41%

if we want to take a punt on a unknown then Darrell Clark at bristol rover would be as good as any he would prob cost in compo but hes been manager and player manager for close on 300 games and his win rate is right up there with the best. over 51%

Whoever the new manager is , I don't want to see any of this 4-5-1 (or similar) so beloved of the FA coaching manuals. so favoured by Redfearn, Stubbs, and even Steve Evans on a bad day. You can judge the FA's tactics by England's level of success in international competitions. Let's have a Millers coaching manual - 4-5-1 is banned, so is the sideways , sideways, sideways back to the keeper. blunder, goal to the opposition sequence - so much favoured by Stubbs. First thing to do is to make sure that the players forget everything that Stubbsy and Refearn taught them

4-4-2 is for a good side, we're not. Both full backs need cover. But you can still play D Ward not as a left winger but on the left & 1 up front.

Next manager if he'd come here saw him Thursday Nigel Clough.
