Well Kent, it seemed pretty sure to me. She was embarrassed on our behalf if you know what I mean. The fella she was with confirmed how ludicrous he thought the deal was at the time and said Dexter couldn't believe it. With that he then embraced another two or three Oxford players who all knew him well before returning to our conversation. (The bloke sponsors players to the tune of £25k a season) confirmed what the girl had said. The players all knew them both and as I say, she said Blackstock was her partner's best mate. This took place no more than 5 yards away from us so I could hear all the banter. Didn't Blackstock originate from Oxford?

As I say, take it with a pinch of if you will but it seemed genuine to me and might explain why Blackstock was trying to get their attention when he returned from his shower, fully suited and booted in the players tunnel - I sit next to it and saw this

It should have been until the end of the season, with options on both sides, based upon performances and a relegation wage drop. A three year deal at that cost is suicide - especially for someone on the unwanted list

Well that sounds very true & genuine to me pete, TS & the board must be sanctioning such deals its embarrassing they could be so gullible to players agents, had their legs lifted big big time.

Breaks my heart to see my club used like this think we need a streetwise wheeler dealer to help broker deals & advise the board, not to scout or select players to buy.. think ronnie mostly[streetwise scouser] lol & brecks maybe involved might be good, perhaps they could be involved in coaching too alongside younger manager, dual roles as it were like club ambassadors.
