    Something different from football

    Is anybody on here following the Vendée Globe?

    no my ting FL but I have been known to view a bit in the old days. Too rich for me.

    I got my brother signed up to the yaught club in Brixham when I was last there and since he has been out on one humongous yaught.

    I had a parlez with the skipper of said boat and found out he was planning to sail the north west passage, following Franklins trail

    Evening Gaz...I am not into sailing myself but this one is the Mount Everest of sailing. Around the world non stop with no assistance.
    The Skippers who take up the challenge have the "cojones" the size of watermelons.

    I can well imagine needing big cojones FL (never heard that term before tho).

    Not sure if there are any Taffs on here Gaz...but Alex Thompson is Welsh!! He broke the record for the distance covered in 24 hours on a monocoque...more than 500 nautical miles. His boat was damaged after about 3 weeks of racing,though seeing his performance I don't how serious the damage is. The race was won today by Amel Le Cléac'h with Thompson about 10 hours behind....taking into account the distance it's like having a photo finish after a marathon!!
