Corner cleared to Howson, first-time shot deflected past Dohety by either Batth or Stearman in front of him

3-1 game over! Although from the kick off it didn't sound like it was going to be our day.

FT 3-1 to Norwich. Think the penalty kicked us in the guts, but there will be much discussion regarding the decision for that. Not a lucky day for us, but it's not the end of the world. Goodnight all !

A poor day all round from a Wolves perspective, bar the five minutes or so after Costa equalised and Weimann's effort, Wolves always looked second best. I questioned the changing of the starting eleven that did so well against Villa last Saturday and i saw nothing to suggest that it was the right decision to bring in Iorfa in place of Coady, up top, it's not been happening for Dicko, so i do understand why he was replaced by Bodvarsson in the starting line up.

Norwich for me were the better side, Wolves couldn't handle Hoolahan or Brady, both players in almost every Norwich move, helped on their way with Wolves giving the ball away cheap. For the opening goal, it's how your own players react when the ball comes back off the bar, Naismith wanted it more, Wolves didn't.

I mentioned at the game how incidents in games can change the course of it, well there was a few in this one. Wolves should really have been two goals down, but for the post, Jerome close to increasing his side's lead. Wolves equaliser, well and truly against the run of play. No argument really in the award for the push on Doherty. Costa made it look so easy from the penalty spot. Just after Wolves actually looked a threat and Weimann fired over from distance.

A game changing couple of incidents followed. It was difficult from where we was to see at the other end how much contact there was by Ikeme, if any on Hoolahan, make no mistake about it though, Ikeme's only got himself to blame for what happened after, raise your hands, you pay the price. From a wolves perspective, the game was lost after this. Doherty had no chance with the penalty and Howson finished us off with the third.

Arguably our worst performance under Lambert, too many players on show who didn't turn up. Wolves were so open all over the field, no midfield pressure on the opposition who had a field day, i think the 3-1 scoreline flattered wolves, it cold have been five.

This is my personal opinion of the game, sorry if it's not up to everyone's taste.

I could only follow the game on the Wolves Wall Gav, but even so it sounded like we never got off the ground and were always second best, so it sounds like you have got it covered. Thanks for the report and the lowlights.

Hope the journey wasn't to bad.

The day was a good one Woody, bar the football. As with my previous reply, we deserved all we got from the game, absolutely nothing.
