Let me put forward a theory, it relates to Bogle.

For some time now I have thought that Tony Stewart cannot make important transfer decisions without consulation with one or more others (I suspect 3)

So to sign Bogle we have a theoretical path of Warne to Douglas to Stewart (or so we assume)

So a "top price" is agreed and the bid is made. However on deadline day Wigan step in with 100k more and we're out of the race. So as a last ditch attempt to put the bid up the call goes out from Warne to Douglas to Stewart. At this stage you would have thought that a quick agreement would have been relatively easy (even though we were playing an away game at the time) but maybe not if Stewart has to consult the "sleeping partners" to get their agreement first. The result being that the quick reply to Warne & Douglas is lost and as a consequence Bogle is lost.

    Just a theory.

Can't understand this new recruitment computer missing James Hanson, a snip for £150,000 for the Blades, a player who would have laid goals on for Ward.

Johnson served as Brighton and Hove Albion's European scouting manager for two years and has worked with Derby, Spurs and Sunderland.

Spurs paid out millions for bad players, Derby have been in the Championship for 9 years and we can all see how Sunderland have performed over the last few years.

    Bodes well eh!

James Hanson apart from his height what does he offer. 29 been around abit so a big fat no.

Then again got to better than Blackstock but would be no longer than a 18 months contract. Be ok for league 1.
