Do you want honesty or just what you want to hear ?

TS has come out and given an interview.

Yes he's not great at them is he but he's tried to be honest.

He's admitted mistakes have been made and he takes the blame for that.
He says he's in it for the long haul and wants to put it right.

I don't think it matters what he says he will get accused of bull@@@t .

he was honest and the fact he gets a few pronunciations wrong is irrelevant.

Give the guy a break ffs.

Try getting behind the team Saturday instead of sitting there ferking moaning.

I'm still backing him why because he's earned the right imo.

What you say is generally true Pocket, but every time I hear TS speak it just reinforces the idea that he's a willing but bungling amateur when it comes to football matters. Nothing really wrong in that but he needs to compensate by employing professionals that know what they are doing.

Also I've banged on about this before that I believe TS consults other similar amateur but bungling backers on the important decisions. Having a love of the club and wanting to put things right is all very admirable but really cuts no ice in this supercharged world of professional football.

Nobody wants TS to throw money at the problem willy nilly but some money has to be spent and this is best done using the knowledge of true professionals not the opinion of a few well meaning mates.

    Good points Jolly.

But he doesn't deserve the response he's getting on here.

Criticism for not speak then criticism for speaking he can't win can he ?

I agree with you almost 100%, Pocket.

Where I cannot and will never agree with you, is about the names. He has employed Paul Warne for a number of years now, he MUST have heard people calling him Warne thousands of times, even the interviewers call him Paul Warne, his name is in the programme, on the club website, in every official document and in every facking newspaper as WARNE, no bloody S on the end, so, I don't think it's irrelevant at all, not only am I a pedant who has a massive desire to see things done correctly, I also think it's highly disrespectful of Tony Stewart to not know Paul Warne's name by now!

I agree with that. He definitely does need some expert advice. It's why I think he should bring Ronnie Moore in in an upstairs role. Or someone else who knows the game (and preferably the club too) inside out.

The thing is since we have been in the championship he hasnt backed his words up.

I'm not really interested in words only in interested in action.

He is a good league 1 chairman but a rubbish champonship chairman.

    Based on finances.

I remember people in here saying at end of season dinner Paul Warne said his gran could of got the team promoted on the budget Evans had in division 1.

Be interesting to see how good his granny is if he is still the manager next season

Also true, but that problem is made worse by having Mr Nice Guy Warne as manager. When things go wrong the manager is usually the whipping boy but such is Warne's history with the club fans don't want to do that so TS attracts more flak than he deserves.
