Sorely disappointed with today's performance where we were second to every loose ball on the park. The midfield was non existent and we were simply swamped by Falkirk in this area of the pitch. One question I would love to put to the manager is why oh why do we persist with pumping long balls up to Lyle when it is clear to all that he was easily dominated by towering central defenders-a complete waste and with the midfield misfiring this only gave the ball back to Falkirk. Also why does Robinson not distribute the ball quicker rather than waiting until the opponents are fully set at the back. There were several instances where he could have thrown the ball up the left wing for Marshall to have started a rapid counter while the Falkirk defence were struggling to get back and organised. Few pass marks today except it was good to see Hilson return and show his usual levels of industry.

Dreadful display ! Thought that Falkirk were getting lots of free kicks for f""k all and that the forward conned the ref for the first BUT the Bairns fully deserved the win that ends our play off dreams. The personnel and managers change from season to season but does anyone recognise a common theme that happened today and has for decades ?

Best team won by the proverbial mile - veteran Kerr and young Sibbald totally dominated the midfield while up front Dobbie and Lyle probably had their poorest games of the season with no chance of getting on to long punts up the park and being easily brushed aside by the strong Bairns defenders. Nice to see Hilson back but not sure if the big Australian lad Dykes is up to this level of football. Fourth place now gone I reckon so hopefully Mr Naysmith can concentrate on strengthening the squad for next season as this campaign peters out.

Queens failed to get their wide midfielders, Thomson and Thomas on the ball enough and Falkirk, as said already dominated the midfield. I assume that Rankin was subbed on the hour mark due to Queens playing midweek, as with Dobbie and Lyle later on.

I thought the referee was totally incompetent and was so inconsistent it beggared believe. I thought the awards for the free kick and the penalty were ridiculous decisions. I never like free kicks given so close in and Kidd executed well but there always seems to be disorganisation in these situations. Why the referee never added at least 5 minutes to the end of the first half is remarkable, after the physios were on the pitch about 6 times in the first half hour. He only added on two minutes!

With Dunfermline winning 5-1 today and Clark scoring 4 of the Pars, I just hope that Queens rally for Tuesday night, even though their push for the top four has also diminished somewhat.

Only bright spot for me was Hilson's return and he put in a typical shift. The boy is a real grafter and it's such a shame how his career is panning out. Needs a long run free of injury but that's easier said than done with his record.

A couple of things stand out for me from today...first off Falkirk completely deserved the three points dominated from start to finish. Didn't see the incident that led to the free kick but from where I was it looked like a stonewaller once Dowie went to ground.

Secondly this is the second big game in a row that the team haven't showed up for, for all the talk of a great second half against Dundee the first half was abysmal. Today there was nothing other than long balls up to Lyle who for the first time in a while lost more than he won. The midfield didn't have much of a chance to be in the game today the ball spent far too long in the air.

Thirdly I get the sense of a missed opportunity with nearly 500 extra fans there who maybe if they saw a half decent game could have been tempted back in a fortnight but instead saw a punt fest and I would be surprised if any of them come back. Thats not to take away from the clubs initiative in offering free tickets just a shame the boys couldnt back it up.

Anyway onwards and upwards for Tuesday

Terrible today and that is me finished for the season.
From the start today we were second best, no fight or quality.
Surely Robinson, Dowie , Higgins and Brownlie are away for next year,
    simply not good enough.
A few extra through the gates today and they see that .
Mark Kerr was head and shoulders above everyone else today and we just
    could not cope with him.

Albertz I fail to see any logic in replacing players to somehow save them for a midweek match which is rendered much less important by our result today.

A poor performance from too many Queens players . Falkirk were the deserved winners . Naysmith will have seen enough now to realise certain players are either finished at this level or just not good enough . Still think there's a player there in Dykes . He showed lots of promise early on in the season but needed to work on his finishing

Our chances of a play off place are slim but I'll not be turning my back on the club and will continue to support them until the season end
