o/t what's your favourite street in Rotherham....

Park Street - born and bred on neighbouring street and played football from dawn til dust there. Rotherham trained on there too and we had kick abouts with the players.

History wise: Thornhill (later adding United to their name) played at the Red House Ground, devoid of either natural or artistic beauty. It was located off Henley Grove Road and Park Street

Ah Thornhill. Born in Mabrough myself just off Tenter Street a place easily missed as you pass over the railway bridge, Hartley Lane on the right hand side. Old railway houses. My dad was a signalman. Suppose I'm a proper towny being born so close to the town centre.

Other than that it's Badsley Moor Lane. My old schools and Herringthorpe where I spent a few years as a child.
