So Gary Rowett wants top dollar for all our players that are not transfer listed, not going to happen in the slightest. Any club would at least list some players on the transfer window who they are willing to let go at a cut price.
**** me
A release list is those players who have come to the end of their contracts which are not being renewed, hence the term release, I'm somewhat surprised you didn't know that!
No club publishes a list of players it would "like to get rid of or sell" - for a start these players are on contracts so that would not go down well with the players, then if a club is trying to sell a player for a decent price, that would devalue the players as other clubs would know the club was desperate to sell.
Rowett will have his must keep players, those he wants to move on and those he may move on if the price was right and enabled him to freshen the squad up. These deals are always done quietly and whilst inevitably there will be rumours or even leaks about whats happening, the fans won't really know and never ever do until a deal is done! Thats the way its always been.
I know your right, but I do so want to help the poor lamb!
Seeing as this is to do with contracts and there are only 3 players from our entire squad that was out of contract and the rest are on contracts, they remained until they can be sold. Still the answer has not been answered.... which players will be moving on in the summer? We all want to know that release rather then this one... 3 players that were out of contract that never set foot in the first team big whoop!.
I would say at this moment in time Rowett does not know which players will be moving on, it all depends upon whether there are any enquiries and if those enquiries turn in to acceptable bids - so there is no list, other than what Rowett has and as has been explained he wont be making that public.
There willbe much talking among scouts and agents about what so and so player might be available at what price, but it will all be hush hush until a deal is done barring leaks of course.
If any Derby players names get touted in the media, you can guess that their agent has been advised the player would be allowed to leave and it will most likely be the agent drumming up interest.
He already knows who is leaving and who he wants to bring in to replace them, he has already stated that. He has already been in contact with at least 10 different agents a day, so all we have to do is wait until something comes out in the media of who will be the first player leaving.
