Not disagreeing with you I agree 100%

There was 200 firefighters at the fire in London heros everyone of them.

I know because of the work I do that last week we only had 46 firefighters on duty e.g. Actual at work to cover South Yorkshire which is scary and scandalous.

Heaven forbid we have a major incident.
My anger though at the political points by a lot is that each government whatever party they are from make cuts.
When I was on active duty abroad some of the equipment in the Blair years was underfunded and substandard.
I hate politics and it's already been said it will be a political event that's fine but like I've said let's help the victims and there family's first.

That should be the number 1 priority not point scoring.

Yak, you strike me as a very decent, humane bloke. But with the greatest respect it really is all about point scoring. The contractor, the government, Kensington BC are all desperately seeking as we speak to shift the blame. You have to strike while the iron is hot. The public mood is fickle. The enemy know this. They know if they can distract and confuse for just a few weeks they can get away with it. We can't let them. Now is the moment and if you delay out of "respect" for the dead you do them a great disservice and play into the hands of the guilty.

    Fair enough Monty.

I get what your saying and everybody else I just don't like this oh well labour wouldn't do this and the tories wouldn't do this because money talks pure and simple.
I want the greedy *******s to pay pure and simple.
Like I said I've served under both governments and honestly money comes first people come second that's how I see it.

It's right and proper use of tax payers money to ensure services are not hemorrhaging money unnecessarily , more effective procedures are what good management should be about .

However it seems to me that cuts have bitten so deep that it's made services unfit for purpose and down right dangerous .

    That's unacceptable .

And you are obviously at ease with it but why does it have to be like that?

When have I said I'm at ease with it?

It's my experience of this is how it is others may disagree I've seen enough political decisions that effect lives to know that it will probably never change.

"When have I said I'm at ease with it?"

    Just the impression I get

Do you have a monopoly on seeing enough political decisions that effect lives?

Do you think K&C council have observed their statutory obligations
because it doesn't look like it and those responsible should be prosecuted for at least manslaughter
