If you consider the record of all Scottish teams in Europe except Celtic and us in recent seasons, it shouldn't actually be that surprising. They finished third behind us: they're the equivalent of Hearts in the Europa League last season who got knocked out by a team from Malta. They're still a mediocre side if you look at the lineup they put out tonight and the only reason anyone seems to expect better from them is that they're called Rangers.
