Could be good but 19? Not sure. If it means that we can get Quinn in as well then so be it.

Bit of a risk, Harry could be the new Peter Shilton who made his debut for Leicester against Everton at 16 and was so good Everton were able to sell Gordon Banks (to Stoke?), but again he could be the next Pat Onstadt.
Such is the price of failure of not gaining promotion this year, that going with two inexperienced keepers is a risk that could be avoided. Just sayin

Very highly regarded at Southampton and seen as a future no.1. Played their League Cup games last season and they want first team experience for the boy this year. Reminds me of Danny Ward at Aberdeen. He was superb.

Pat Onstad was a decent keeper. 50 odd caps for Canada. Never played at United really? Not even sure he played in a. Imperative game. Now Kelham O'Hanlon...

Reminds you of Danny Ward how? Because he is young? Just think it's risky going with such untried keepers. Let's hope he is a Danny Ward. Southampton have a great record for young players. Like United used to. 😩

Young, only ever played a handful of first team games, albeit at a better level than us, being loaned out by a Premiership club for first team experience. U don't see any similarities there?

There are similarities. Obviously Danny Ward is an example of this that was hugely successful. Hopefully turns out to be the same for us. It's a big risk if Ray sees a 19 year old keeper as No.1.

It's also worth noting that AC Milan's 1st choice keeper is 18 year-old. Not suggesting that this laddie's in Donnarumma's class but it shows experience isn't the be-all-and-end-all........

Get what you are sayin. Pat O = nae gemmes for United = jury oot. Kel O = OMFG.

We agree that it is a huge risk as it stands, but that's what managers reputations are built on, and what will make or break them.
