I dinna blame him for not staying: he was returning from injury when he came here and once he'd proved he was over that there were clubs willing and able to pay him far more than we could. You can't expect a guy to settle for earning a fraction of his worth out of loyalty to a club he'd only been at a few months.

I do, however, blame him for losing interest in giving us 100% for the remainder of his contract here. From the point we made it clear we wouldn't be able to match his wage demands for a renewal, his commitment levels dropped right off. There was still about half the season to go, and we were still paying his wages. It was highly unprofessional.

Based on his form prior to that, he was a much better than average SPL player, but is he still at 34, playing in Cyprus?

Maybe he's got more left in the tank than I fear, and maybe he will get his attitude right this time round, but it's a gamble I'd prefer we didn't take.

I'd take Fyvie as a decent option from the bench and to cover for injuries. Don't think he's a bad player at all.

    No thanks
We've moved on while he's gone backwards
Let him sign for united as that's his standard

Think arnason wed be decent for us as a ch, a good player with loads of experience and a good reader of the game
    Perfect to organise our defence

Well that's 6 new faces. 8 signings if you include Lewis and Logan on new deals. Harvie, McKenna and Rogers back from loans.
Quality signings rather than no-name foreigners or lower division Englanders.

Suspect Maloney will still happen before the end of August once he's fit. I guess that then will probably be it. Mind you I think we still need cover for Logan at right back .... or does McInnes believe either Shinnie or Tansey can fill in there if needed?

May will have to wait until next season and I doubt Moult is a starter.

Just two positions that worry me now Mr Reynolds and Mr Considine.
Andy plays with his heart on his sleeve, both are prone to repetitive and costly errors
Would like to see a class defender come in
Then we would be a very good team, on paper at least
Those guys are the current possible weak links

For sure and although a lovely pair of guys the opposition will be told to pick on these two to get goals...

If i was an opposition manager I play a nippy boy on the right and play everything in behind Considine. By the time hes turned the ball will be in the box and theres no Horrorpighobbitc@nt chasing back like a futret to help out. Big worry

not just him, how many times did you see Hayes pop up in defence from nowhere to save the day. Will GMS do the same? I doubt it unless he gets a good bowl of Tattie soup in him.
