Thread: 500 transfer rumours that might need a taxi ordering...

I'm not at all sure Burnley will be offering Wardy a new extended contract. It wasn't that long ago he could not get a look in and there was genuine talk of him leaving.

He seems to be the "Leader of the Pack" as far as the Irish lads are concerned and it will be interesting to see if young Charlie Taylor can get past him on to the first team sheet as first pick?

Nice to have genuine competition for the number three shirt.

I can imagine how fans would react if Gray came out and said he doesn't want to play for Burnley next season.

People will believe what they want to believe, this fan believes Gray is trying hard to sign for another club who will give him more money than Burnley.

So many rumours of so many clubs after him . They are only being started from one source in my book.

The sooner he goes the better.

So when will the Britt As(sombalonga) Empire begin? Do you have an iota on when Jota will join our quota? I am ready to get excited by more additions to our squad.

The Dyche to Palace stories were perfectly credible, in fact it's incredible to think that Palace wouldn't have an interest in Dyche. What was not credible was one journo purporting to know what Dyche's views on the situation was, or that Skybet somehow had the inside story about what was happening and their prices had any relationship to the actual likelihood of Dyche becoming Palace manager.

On Gray, it's irrelevant what anyone actually thinks about his abilities, unless our club is totally incompetent, which I doubt, he will have been offered a new contract. If he wants to play for us he will sign a new contract, if he doesn't he won't, and he hasn't. Of course if you want him to remain at Burnley you can bury your head in the sand and hope it will all resolve itself, and maybe it will, but if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and waddles like a duck, it is a duck, and Gray is quacking and waddling his way around these contract talks, so much so that as far as his career at Burnley is concerned, he's a dead duck. Well hopefully anyway.

I can assure you sinkov that Burnley Football Club have put into place a quite formidable management structure in all departments of the business.

Dave Baldwin is just about the most competent CEO I have ever come across in any type of business. Andre Gray was offered a new, extended, improved contract. He refused the option as is his right. He remains under contract to the Clarets but I find it impossible to believe he will be allowed to walk away for nothing next June.

All contracts are constantly reviewed, new players are actively being sought and it is my clear understanding that the exit door is slammed firmly shut.

Gray will be allowed to leave if the terms are right for all parties and Darikwa in all probability will be going to the east Midlands but as you well know until the fat lady sings...

All I need convincing about is your assertion that Gray doesn't want to play for Burnley.

The fact that he's going into the last year of his contract without signing an extension only proves that he hasn't agreed terms with the club (yet). There could be any number of reasons for this.

The same facts apply to Ward, Arfield and Marney but nobody is saying they don't want to play for the club any more.
