Can't understand why Scott McDonald hasn't been snapped up by a club yet after becoming a free agent . It would be a managerial masterstroke if Ray was to get him in , he'd score goals for fun in the championship.

I'm not so sure mate. I think his legs, if not gone, are on the way out.
But there are going to be literally hundreds of unemployed players available at the end of August & it might be prudent to be patient and get a better/wider pick then.

That's fair enough......but......we might be playing catchup by then which we cannot afford to be doing.
Ray has a budget, but surely there is a contingency of around 10-15% in addition which covers situations exactly like this and can be accessed upon application to the board. Of course this is an amateur organisation masquerading as a professional business so that probably hasn't been a consideration. CURRENTLY there are thousands of unemployed fooballers and Ray and his 'ahem' Director of Special Projects should be burning the midnight oil using all their contacts to recommend players worth offering a trial to. That is more likely, but the pressure should be on them to deliver.....and soon

Nkoyi is way off match fitness and can really only be a 30 minute opton at present. it will probably take another couple of months to get him to where he should be. Shocking that players don't keep up their fitness.

surely the johnsen one wouldnt happen.
i know he kinda flattered to deceive last year for them but he is highly regarded by some. unlikely to play much this season due to lafferty and goncalves but still if he was to leave them there would be a couple of clubs in the top divison looking at him or hed move to Europe. if there was any chance of us getting a striker from hearts the likelihood would be connor sammon as hes surplus to requirements there.
