Club never wanted a fee. The Twitter "advert"/press release was to tell Cammy and his agent that unless he agrees to go, United are happy to hold onto him and he would have to continue to travel. Cammy therefore agrees to go, giving up circa £100k in wages which can be used to bring 1/2 players in. Good keeper but wanted to leave.

There was no pressure to broadcast we wanted rid. While player himself and agent might secretly have wanted away to the papers he was saying he was ready to play for united - same obvious line united had to play if wanted a fee

In theory correct based on what we know. All I'm saying is we don't know everything. Say he had a fallout with the medical team Ray gets involved, maybe even ST gets involved and Bell goes two fingers on it.
