You've done this to death Tricky...I know you're probably going to raise the flag, sing rule Britannia all while fondly remembering your Thai holiday memories tonight, but if you could tell me how things have improved, as opposed to becoming increasingly depressing and chaotic since late last June I'd be happy to listen. Please don't try and argue that the pound isn't down, prices are up, business investment is falling and wages are going nowhere all as a result of the uncertainty created by Brexit though...that's just the truth.

Again I know its beyond your ability to comprehend but try to read what I actually post, because nowhere did I say anything derogatory about Thailand or its people - it is however a fact that mass tourism (especially of the package holiday type where people don't give a **** about where they are as long as there is and seas, sun and cheap booze)) has had negative effects upon the culture and of course there are the less savoury aspects where Westerners have exploited the locals.

Now which category you belong to? on balance the ignorant xenophobic holiday maker who is exploiting the needs of the locals to make a living but does not give a toss about the effect on them - and your delight at saying how "cheap" it is demonstrates this.

Mind you I'm being generous of spirit in assuming that, still as your posts show you have a unique understanding of foreign culture and simply see the exploited underpaid labour as giving you the cheap holiday in the sun you feel you deserve!

I am travelling to Kamphang Phet

My company that I work for, is interested in setting up a plant in Thailand. The girl I deal with in the Thai government, suggested a holiday with them in their area.
We are able to produce a modular building material that they can produce themselves at low cost.
She has very graciously offered me a stay in Thailand and to talk business. I was honored and will willingly go.
