Agree that the stadium itself is more important than the location. So far, it looks sh1te.

It looks like st johnstone with the corners filled in.
correction NOT filled in , but sort of blocked off.
Only afc could come up with a shed costing 50M ( or as Milne calls it - a legacy)
personally wish we could go back to elegant & inspiring 20's style , kind of art deco.

everyone has their opinions.
I actually think it looks pretty good.
What are you moaners expecting?
Something on the scale of Tottenhams plans with a retractable pitch?
To be honest, how the stadium looks is irrelevant, I go there to watch the team on the pitch.
Somebody used the Amsterdam stadium as an example for distance and it is nothing to look at from the outside
Seriously, some people need to have a good reality check on what is needed and best for the club
Much talk of fanzones and club bars.
Has nobody got any memory at all of what the local police are like?
Expect cameras everywhere and low alcohol lager.
Expecting?
A professionally designed modern sports stadium, fit for purpose, and architecturally appealing. It's not too much to ask for really, is it?
Done right, it could be an iconic building with multiple use and availability for the community. Nothing wrong with trying to set the bar high, designing and building something that others look to for inspiration.
Aim high.
Have to say some of the statements coming from the club are bizzare, just saw this on the ee,
A new report linked to the application reads: “In the remain at Pittodrie scenario, a future attendance of 8,500 is assumed vs 13,476 in the move to Kingsford scenario.”
Not sure how they have worked that out, just seems like they have plucked the numbers out of the sky.
“Without best-in-class community, training facilities and stadia, there will be limited investment for quality players and coaches which will result in poorer football performance and lower attendances.”
I would say there is more chance we will be told there is no money for players if/when we move to the new stadium, certainly for the for the first couple of years at least.
Im not sure you can design a stadium to create a better atmosphere. There is a bit on AFC's website about the new stadium being 1 level to create a better atmosphere but a brand new half empty stadium against the likes of Kilmarnock is still going to be a shyte atmosphere.
