My mistake Rico I see that now, (must be old age and the eyesight is failing)
I would be very happy if we made a decent cash offer plus Stockley to bring him to Pittodrie, really think he would do a job for us. Getting less impressed with Maynard every time I see him, seems to run around and huff and puff and heaven knows we have plenty that would fall into that category over the years

We may have to pay cash for Moult then pay Motherwell to take Stockley off our hands

My thoughts too. I can't fault his energy and desire to press defenders and keepers. But I had hoped, and still do hope, for more from him technically and tactically.

Last night there were several moments (at least 3) where our midfielders needed an outball on the counter attack and Maynard was just standing static between 2 centre halfs instead of offering a run into a channel where there was acres of open space. It just looked like an obvious run that a mobile striker would make. But he didn't and the ball ends up ping-pinging around the congested midfield.

from what I've seen, it's pretty clear that we need a centre half and a centre forward.
Reynolds has regressed badly in the last 18 months.
We need a left sided centre half

Up front, we have no focal point, or out ball.

Stockley is a mobile as an oil tanker and more likely to get sent off
Storey - no football intelligence at all - needs off loaded
Maynard - doesn't look to me like someone that can play as a lone striker
Rooney - he is what he is - a poacher - hopeless outside of the box but good for a goal.

I can see Stevie May being signed prior to Aug 31st.
whether he is the answer, given his really bad injury, who knows.
