Ours is pants, done by people with 0 experience or understanding.

Those saying what difference does it make obviously don't go to any great stadiums. It's a different experience altogether.

    spot on 100%.

it's nae hard. perhaps they should ask the fans to design it?

As for the location, I was a bit meh about it until I heard that it annoyed people in Westhill.

Thats not true, Milne has previous experience in stadium design.

look at the mess he made of building the RDS. We had a filled in ground with a large beachend which enclosed the stadium, provided our kop & a great atmosphere.
instead of replacing it with something better, or even just fixing a new roof like south terrace, we got a mess of a structure that reduced capacity , wasted the corner area. etc.

you'd think he would have learned something.

The Allianz West Stadion cost €53M and did not include the training facilities.
It's been said you get better value abroad (labour costs etc) so remember the difference in budget.
I also see their corners are not fully filled in as some are demanding.

Maybe building it abroad would be better anyway. Somewhere like Stirling.

MK dons also just seemed to bypass HSE then , a favoured ground. we could dispense with the upper level for ours:

you just seem to be about negation with no substance.
    That looks fine to me.
Not the steep stands some a craving for.

Our south stand has no facilities beneath it and is built on a hill.
To get into the MK Dons stadium, you must have to climb the steps to then come back down.
I'm not against it, just wondered what the evacuation plans would factor in.
Seems it's doable all round the ground then.

Would others on here accept an MK Dons lower tier stand?

I also note on of the corners in the Kingsford plans is where the supporters bar is housed.

Just wasting the last 5 minutes at work having a look through the BBC website when this headline appeared before my eyes...

Aberdeen FC chairman Stewart Milne has warned the club faces playing European games in Glasgow or Edinburgh in future.

He was talking at a campaign launch to support a new stadium to replace Pittodrie, which he said will soon not meet the criteria to host Uefa games.

The £50m stadium and training facilities would be at Kingsford, close to the Aberdeen bypass, near Westhill.

However, objectors have called for the club to look elsewhere.

A decision is due to be taken by councillors in October. A pre-determination hearing will take place on 13 September at Aberdeen Town House.

The new campaign - called Aurora - is being spearheaded by former Aberdeen manager Sir Alex Ferguson. ****Fit the f*ck? Since when?!

    'Other options'

Mr Milne, speaking at the launch, said of the forthcoming new stadium ruling: "The consequences of a negative decision on this will have massive bearings on the future of this club.

"At some point we will no longer get dispensation to play European games here.

"Other options are to play in Glasgow or Edinburgh.

"What sort of statement would that send out? What would our fans think?"

John Thornton, of the No Kingsford Stadium group, said: "Obviously the decision is up to the council, if they act according to planning law they will reject this application.

"There is no economic benefit for Westhill.

"There are other sites they can look at and they can still redevelop Pittodrie."

Objectors say concerns include traffic and parking issues.

Looks like the move to Stirling could well be on.

    Just read it as well.

Surely this is Milne starting to sh!t himself as he appears to be in a corner.

My personal option is that we redevelop Pittodrie, and I dont agree with the crap he is coming out with.
As most have said in the past, whats wrong with having our training facilities and stadium in two different areas? The only one I can think of that has them next to one another is St Johnstone. It's hardly a great stadium and a pain in the ar5e when looking for a pint before hand.

    Anyway, just my tuppence worth.

Replace main stand - no issues , increase in capacity. Job done.
    Wiggy is getting desperate now.......
