Unless Thompson's attacker dropped a couple million out his pocket in the scuffle, he's going nowhere.

Couple million??? £4 million??? For a loss making Scottish championship club.

No wonder no one wants to buy if that is the price demanded

I was part of the group that was involved in this incident. The group was called Wagner and friends and we had the sponsors table hospitality package. The guy Paul Anderson who booked Wagner for last derby was the match sponsor for last nights game (did the half time draw). There was 14 of us sitting together 3 rows behind ST in the Directors box.

When the game was over we headed back to lounge area for after drinks etc. One of the guys in our group was walking down the corridor towards the lounge. He started looking at his phone not realising ST was directly behind him. ST must have thought that the guy was taking a picture of him or something as he got really irate and grabbed the guy. there was a brief scuffle which resulted in ST falling to the floor (it was handbags tbh). He was with his son and wife I think.

Our group was then escorted to our room and none of us were allowed to leave as police were then involved. Eventually we were all allowed to leave and we heard that our guy was the one being charged. Not one of our group were asked for a statement as to what had happened. It seems the police were only interested in ST and his family's account of the incident. ST was completely in the wrong. It was not all Dundee fans in the group there was me and two other united fans and we are all pretty clear that ST was the instigator.
I did tell you that Mr Thompson was a horrible person but you and others backed him to the hilt,FACT.I hope the Dee in the dock gets aquitted, maybe the Wagner sponsor can stop wasting his money on a lousy singer and hire his mate a decent lawyer to show Thompson up for the liar he is.

Why would Stephen Thompson become 'really irate' because a guy directly in front of him 'started looking at his phone'?
Could be carnage in the Overgate if ST was to walk the length.

I have been consistent in my view that I am not a fan of ST. I dont think he is a particularly nice man. I also do not recall 'backing him to the hilt'. What I have said if you were to review my comments in the past is that until we have a credible alternative it is completely pointless and damaging to slate him and attempt to force him out. i am not sure if you are capable of seeing that view as anything other than an endorsement of him but that is due to your own blinkers rather than an accurate representation of my views.

Who knows but I agree this seems pretty unlikely. Also, I know someone who was sitting right behind the directors box for the match and they tell me this wagner group were being arseholes throughout the match....

Much as I would like to agree with you as they have been winding me up constantly since the derby this is just not the case Terry. ST was sitting in the very front row. The wagner group were at least 5 rows back and had zero interaction with ST and there was absolutely no problems. The scuffle only broke out in the corridor on the way back to the board rooms etc. ST would have no way of knowing who the guy was. Only he will know why he reacted the way it did but he may have thought the guy was taking his picture or videoing him and did not like it (i dont know). He then grabbed the guy (who up to that point did not even reason it was ST behind him).

As far as your friend who claims the wagner group were being 'arseholes'. What does he mean by that. It was a row of 14 people in suits one of which with a child. 3 of them were united fans. I would be the first to tell you if anyone in that group was being an arsehole and other than them being irritatingly smug about winning the game they were being no more an arsehole than any of the other Dundee Fans in the stadium. Fake news Terry...

They were generally being a pain in the arse I understand, standing up and blocking the view of folk behind them (for no good reason) for instance.

You've already said you didn't see what happened, so stop being a phukkin fishwife and spreading gossip. State what you've seen and shut the phukk up
