J Rod is a centre forward and Rondon isn't so......

WTF are you doing putting our best CF on the f kin wing Pulis!?

Nonsensical rubbish.....mind boggling overthinking and trying to be too clever by half by Pulis.

J Rod at CF with McLean or Burke out wide.

Morrison a passenger today.....poor team selection and formation for my liking and sitting far too deep against a very average side,we were ten yards too deep throughout the whole match for me.

Turgid stuff today with Barry the only highlight for me,a far better player than Fletcher I think.

Absolute rubbish. Pathetic. If anyone enjoyed that I can highly recommend sticking pins your eyes. You'll love it.
The usual goal up and bring Yacob on worked again.

Couldn't agree more Mick. Rondon has looked one dimensional and leaden-footed for far too long and Morrison, despite his impressive work rate, offers little these days. A game devoid of any entertainment and a classic comedy of errors with the Stoke giveaway goal, which the Albion do better than any other side.

Just hope that we can bring in a couple surprise signings next week. 7 out of 9 points is a grand start and just hope that we can show some attacking intent after the break.

Just got back mickd have to agree with your assessment Rondon Morrison , Brunt at the back worry's me everytime they attack , thought stoke were the best team to be honest not much in it , after scoring first very disappointed the way we conceded glad i had food & few pints in the Island , one more thing we must give the ball away 200 time a game or just run in to someone , not good enough .

Much as I applaud Rondon's efforts I've finally come to the conclusion that he isn't a premiership striker. We must play Rodrrigues as our main striker. I also agree with the comments that we play far too deeply, especially when we go a goal up. As soon as Morrison was replaced by Yacob you knew how we would play. It happens all too often. I don't agree with Johnny on the spot that Stoke were the better side as both sides were poor. A draw was a fair result to a very poor game.

Unbelievable to we have to concede 70% possession against an average looking Stoke side. I know people will be judged on results in modern day football but we must be the most boring, predictable team in the country at the moment. Looking at the many empty seats in the BR end, I think people are starting to vote with their feet now. I have supported the Baggies with pride for nearly 70 years now but at the moment I am totally embarrassed by the negative attitude of this current manager. It is no good saying that we need attack minded midfielders unless he gives them the freedom to express themselves. Nobody with any flair would be attracted to us at the moment so I don't hold much hope of getting any fresh faces in the line up unless they are defenders.

He won't rest until he has signed yet another centre half so he can push Dawson to right back. He will also break the bank to sign a defensive midfielder.
Brunt, Morrison, Rondon, McClean should be nowhere near the first team and i'm starting to doubt Livermore as well.

Could not agree more Mick apart from one thing! Thought Nyom was a class act though along with Barry today as he did not lose hardly anything and it was his assist that created the goal!

Fully agree, Rodriguez has a natural eye for goal, he should be used 'up top'. Like many, my patience with Rondon is about as threadbare as the mats in my vans footwell. Every time Brunt had the chance to hit the box he hit it low, much to people's annoyance, the reason he did it is probably because he knew Shawcross, who had Rondon in his pocket all afternoon, would bang it clear with his head to start another counter attack. During the second half we broke and Rondon ran towards two centre halves rather than try and move away and drag one with him, given he'd won barely anything against them all afternoon you'd think he'd be a bit smarter?

The highlights were the performances of Nyom and Barry, Barry is definitely an upgrade on Fletcher but not sure him and Yacob look right together, again, why was Yacob brought on so early? We all knew it would be backs to the wall for too long.

I find it hard to criticise Morrison as Iv always been a fan, I know he's returning from injury so I'm prepared to cut him some slack but I agree, he looked a passenger today, throw his advancing years into the mix and doubts do creep in more. Livermore looks a bit too pedestrian at times, a bit bulky even, still early days but the need for a creative, more nimble midfielder was there for all to see today.

On a positive note, I spotted a bit of 'fuss' going on from a steward in Halfords Lane prior to the match. He was trying to arrange for a tracksuited Jonny Evans be shepherded into the ground. I was over like a shot, I called "Jonny!, can my lad have a picture with you please?" He said "sure" I sent my boy forward, beaming like it was Christmas Day morning and Jonny duly obliged with an arm around my lads shoulders pic' I thanked him and shook his hand, he smiled and said "no problem" I have to say he's got one hell of a grip for a slim lad! Smashing fella' thanks Jonny, top man. At that point my old man had a rattle with him whilst shaking his hand. I said "what did you say to him?" He said I told him, "it's a great offer, you take it" to which Jonny smiled and said "thank you very much". Hard to hear I know but can you blame the lad? (Assuming the inevitable happens of course)
