Warney has been around our club long enough to know some football knowledge ffs, even a few ex footballers and some up his arse at the club said give Warney the job because it was him that was behind us getting promoted.

I'm a fan but knew we needed at least one change going into that game and with Barker at his side how did he get it wrong?

I do think Warne needs a couple of good results under his belt as quickly as possible though or things could turn ugly.
People always blame the supporters for being impatient and not giving managers time but we shouldn't forget that no one is more impatient than Trigger Happy Tone.
    Bump......😕

    After Southend game quotes....

I think Warne is growing into the job.
You have to give Warne credit for getting rid of the dead wood.
He seems to have bought well.

    After Charlton game.
    He hasn't got a clue.
    Tactically inept.
    Never been a manager.

Sounds like very knowledgeable supporters don't you think?

Agree, whenever we lose i cringe at the comments on here, on FB groups etc, it's really embarrassing to be honest, Wednesday fans in disguise.

    Agree millertop.

I get the frustration and disappointment but some abuse is just ridiculous and normally from people who haven't got a clue.

Yeh i know, though i've got to say the player's know and accept it as part and parcel, it's not right, but it's what it is i'm afraid these days. These keyboard warriors wouldn't say nothing to the player's face to face, and it's a sad indictment of today's culture i'm afraid.

I said on another thread that I think we'll finish mid table. We have no divine right to do well, teams with bigger budgets than us have struggled to get out of this League. Lets be honest, League 1 is our level. We occasionally flirt with the second tier, we have been known to drop to the 4th tier, but overall this league is where we can expect to find us most often. We are an average sized club with a local businessman as chairman. In this day and age that model of doing things with a club of our size will see us pretty much where we are right now.
Every few seasons we'll have a thrill ride and do well, we'll get to the Championship, the "punching above their weight" comments will be rolled out by every pundit, we'll scrap for a few seasons before we find out that we just aren't good enough at that level and we drop back down.
If we do what we've always done, we'll get what we've always had. A few changes along the way, a better ground etc, but we're still doing things the way we've always done them so to expect things to magically change for the better is insanity.
After last seasons utter farce, I'll take us being competitive this season. If we achieve mid table with the intention of a slow build over a couple of seasons, I'll take that. I hate us losing as much as anyone, especially at home, but it's going to happen and it'll happen again. There is no overnight fix or miracle cure for us, Warne might not be the long term solution but changing managers every pair of plates isn't the answer either.
