When we say he's 'no pace' I think we have to put it into perspective, because he'll still probably be the second fastest striker we've got and far quicker than fellow bulldozer Hanson.

As far my overall view of the window, well, we've brought plenty in and cleared unwanted players out. I suppose all postitions are now covered (without really pushing the boat out) and we've got the prospect of seeing Brooks's development, I suspect we may even see him play up front on occasions.

I can't remember many summer windows of late where we've not been kicked in the nuts and sold our best players or prospects. I do wonder if keeping Brooks has been the hidden benefit of getting the sell-on cash and he'd have gone otherwise, if so I'll settle for that, it could be the best 'deal' of the window. UTB

Couldn't agree more. And am pleased Wilder went for a loan of Donaldson... he's no age to be signing permanently and if it doesn't work out both parties walk away at the end. Win win.

He's not on loan signed for an undisclosed fee until end of season with option for another year.

It is what it is..........he's not the most exciting signing but he's a proven goalscorer at this level and he can go straight into the team if needed.

God know's what else went on yesterday and Tufty seemed very frustrated - but he's not the only one, as actually very few decent deals went through despite all the hype. It seems to be getting harder to get them finalised - probably more and more agents/T&cs etc etc

We have a good squad - we have a great management team - what's not to like

It'll reach a tipping point Aya as the agents will be doing themselves out of money so they'll have to change. It's all well and good the agents trying to get the best deal, but it sounds like they missed out on three yesterday due to being 'wheeler dealers' so they end up with ****-all instead of a fair and sensible fee.

At least the club's didn't give in.....well most of them....except Brum ............interesting to see how their team shapes up under Arry.

Exactly like all his other teams is my guess - a bunch of massively over-paid under-achievers. I'm surprised he's not managed Wednesday yet.

I expect he'll have short term success as he did with Portsmouth. Luckily for 'arry, the Birmingham owners are very wealthy (and ambitious). It will indeed be interesting to watch their progress, but I still prefer our way of doing things. Time will tell.

My bad. BBC reports it as a loan. Regardless, my point stands. We're not committed beyond the end of this season which works in our favour.

The fact the rest are slow does not make Donaldson quick, grateful to see he is only signed till the end of the season and will more than likely be back up, could be useful off the bench
