If we are to play a lone striker then he has to be big, hold the ball up and be decent in the air. Rodriguez has none of those features so why did we buy him? He also isn't a wide player.
Rondon has them all but isn't very good. He isn't helped by lack of support from the midfield who are usually nowhere near him. Rodriguez in the hole behind him where Morrison "played" yesterday may work. Pulis hasn't tried that yet, far too attacking I'd imagine.
Wingers on the wrong wings nullify said wingers. Someone on here suggested Brunt as MOTM. I thought he was very poor, his worst performance for over a year. Phillips seems to be our only player who can go past an opponent but again was on the wrong wing and again was restrained by the tactics.
It's all very well going for a draw against every other team but more often than not it will be the opponents who nick a winner rather than us. We've got away with it so far this season, I can't see it lasting.
