Whilst all the previous posters have many valid points, I fear that our worst nightmare could come in future transfer windows. Let's face it, how could we attract any decent strikers with our current playing mentality. No striker in their right mind would want to come to us and get isolated as much as our current strikers do. Both Rondon and Rodriguez started well for us but have become disalussioned with the constant isolation up front and have consequently gone off the boil. Pulis may just about keep us in the division but we have absolutely no chance of getting any form of silverware in the foreseeable future.

So, I think we must ask ourselves, do we want to watch this negative dross week in week out or get another manager in who may play a more attractive game but with a chance of falling through the trapdoor?

The main point for me is that we already have players with the right work ethic who CAN defend and who are 100% solid, quality Premier League players,a change of manager is not going to change their personal ethos of affect their playing quality.

You need to allow and trust your front four players to attack and to remember their defensive duties should an attacking move break down.

The main thing lacking from our side is a dynamic, attacking central midfielder who can carry the ball and break the first opposition tackle and get the opposition defence back-pedalling but Morrison is incapable of doing this.

You also need to have fullbacks with pace who can support the attack and recover and get back when a move breaks down,Gibbs excited me in this regard yesterday but Dawson doesn't,Nyom is the better option for this but Dawson is the better defender so Dawson will win with Pulis every time.

We have good players who are ruled with a rod of Iron by a manager who's only re-mit is to protect the owner's interest and his own legacy of "no relegations" and to ensure his end of season bonus.

We are so close to having a really good and potentially exciting team that I feel very frustrated.

I accepted our playing limitations under Megson but the present situation is infuriating.
