Sadly it applies to the planes too.

Let's nationalise it then and get the Unions involved. That would probably mean 6 pilots on each flight, more stewards than passengers and 1 flight a week in a plane with a propellor driven by an elastic band. We can't be having those nasty capitalists making money and upsetting all you benefit loving lefties.

Three months ago my wife and myself were holidaying in Spain when she complained of a headache, she then collapsed and so, with some friends we rushed her to hospital where she was diagnosed with a brain haemorrhage. She was kept in hospital for two weeks and told she could not fly for another two weeks, this meant we missed our scheduled flight with Ryanair. The people we were holidaying with had to go home but at the airport they went to the Ryanair desk and told the girl on the desk what had happened. This girl could not have been more helpful, not only did we not have to pay for our flight when we re-booked, she asked did we needed a taxi from the hospital to the airport? Did we need a wheelchair? Someone to escort us and carry our cases?

When we got home I tried to contact Ryanair to tell them what this girl had done for us but could not find a suitable on-line address so she will go unrewarded but she certainly was a credit to Ryanair, A company that gets a lot of stick, but none from me now.

Good story and hope your wife is making a full recovery. I have flown with Ryanair for over 13 years at least 4 times a year and never had 1 problem. However the latest shambles is a disgrace.

Flying Ryanair is a last resort, unfortunately their frontline staff take the abuse which needs directing at people above and one in particular.

Oh dear Laxton, a great story about the girl indeed but tinged with some sadness... how is your wife now bud?

Thanks for asking irish_pie, thanks too to JoePass.

She is still seeing a neurologist, has regular blood pressure tests, takes medication to keep it low and has brain scans. What is disturbing though, is that now, whenever she has a headache, she worries that it might worsen into another haemorrhage. She is slowly getting her confidence back though.
