I got the same Steve after running, and get it now after being sat at the football. I try and stretch my leg out, and rubbed Voltrol on it. Plenty of rest

Cheers Nozzer. I'm not the fittest of blokes but I go on the exercise bike three or four times a week (half hour). I think that I might of strained my medial ligament after looking it up on google.

A bit of rest this weekend and see how it feels on Monday. Like I said, it isn't bad pain, more of a nuisance.

The magic words “exercise bike” inside of the right leg... just how I got it.! Lost 3 stone using that and a few healthy eating choices without having to cut down on the beer!!!
But the swollen leg muscle was the price to pay

Naproxen is a strong version of ibruprofen - be careful with it! If it persists, go to GP & request an X-Ray as it may be Osteo-arthritis - I had the same and finished up having a replacement knee (after messing around with physio, cortisone injection and a recommendation for keyhole surgery to trim loose cartilage- left one is to be replaced n the next 3-4 months
I put it off for ages - it came on suddenly so couldn't be arthritis - get to checked (X-rayed) to be sure

Not gout. Didn't even do a blood test Colliers and the pain is constant with gout. I know because I suffer with that in my ankles. It turned out to be a strained medial ligament. Rest and keep it moving,
