I'm sure that record can be broken time and again under Donald 'I back the gun lobby' Trump.
Proof, if proof was needed, that those who don't learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them.

Little Donald seems strangely quiet on this one. If it was a Muslim terror attack you just know his Twitter page would be red hot. If it turns out that this atrocity is down to a home grown nutter what will his reaction be?

He cannot say much....the NRA/Gun Lobby pump billions of $$$$$ into campaign funds of both parties......nothing will change, US politics = money

My main concern is, according to Sky, the 500,000 Brits that visit Vegas each year......likely that some may be amongst the dead

Quite right. The gun lobby have huge influence in the political decision making over there due to the vast amounts of cash they are prepared to give to keep those in power on side.

Although I'd argue that there is a lot Trump could say, but you can bet he won't utter a single word against the gun laws.

The big argument they like to make after mass shooting is that "if more people had guns they'd be able to defend themselves better against these attacks"... Good luck with that on this one.

Yes....ridiculous argument......having spent 3 years living there, I understand the need for "protection", a handgun, possibly a shotgun in your office if you own a business, both are only accurate up to 50 yards......but as I said above, there is no excuse for having a semi-automatic assault rifle that can kill people 500 yards away......that's not "protection".....what's next, sniper rifles, RPGs?

I was just watching the news and it said there is no sanction on getting automatic guns in Vegas... what kinda law is that? its shocking how easy it is to get a gun over there, we go to a vending machine for a fizzy drink and they go to one for an Uzi!!!

You can honestly buy one in Walmart/Asda.......they have racks of guns......I used to go down the food aisles first in Tennessee....pick up the ammo on the way out.....no ID, nothing.......not sure about the ID needed for a new gun....but I had 2 shotguns and one rifle purchased from friends and neighbours, police checked my "gun safe" to make sure that they weren't accessible to the public and basically said...."ok...carry on"
