Hope if he ever fancies such a move that Sean takes note of what happens to those players and managers who leave Burnley.
Very few improve, many decline, some disappear.
The "left Burnley curse" is a good one to hold up to the light!

A superstitious Sean might buy that.

But it is amazingly true.

How many players/managers have, in the past, left Burnley only to go into the wilderness?

There is no doubt that with Burnley's success owners of other teams (and fans) sit up and take note.

Sean is brilliant with what he does and who he does it with but I have previously posted that given a team of low performing, highly paid, megastars who all have contract breaks based on reaching a particular transfer fee or if the team is relegated brings with it problems Sean hasn't faced.

It's one thing to build you team as you see fit, quite another to inherit a super team with fans demanding instant success.

So if you don't want to put your family jewels on the line you need to look to teams that need to rebuild on a relatively smaller budget. And if that is the case--why leave Burnley when you are moving towards your future plans?

Of course I am deliberately leaving out money inducement and status which could be factors.

I read from one sage that Sean would likely be offered the England job. Now that would be interesting.
