The reason why we hate the advertising is that we know that it's not benefiting the club - it's benefiting Mike. If we knew it was there so that Rafa could actually spend money and improve our squad and thereby our football club and thereby our city, obviously it would be a different story. But it's not though is it, and the potential of our club remains untapped.

For arguments sake say, it would cost 10 million a year for a building firm to get the same as Sports direct get at the stadium and club shop. That means we are out of pocket by 100m in the Ashley era
10 million? That's about what he would be getting if he charged 7% interest on the money he lent to the club.

As he owns the Club outright I think you will find that it is money that he loaned himself. Ask yourself if he hadn't loaned the Club money what would have happened to the Club he owns

Gates of 50,000 in the Championship is not to be sneezed at,just look at the gates at the SOL even though they have low prices for kids. The Sun hasn't shone at SJP since Robson was here but the gates haven't really dropped. You talk about the low gates at a time when the ground was shabby after the Leazes stand was pulled down and McKeag sold our best players like Waddle,Pedro and Gazza, but before that I was in a 60,000 crowd for a Derby game and as a kid SJP held the post war record for average attendance only overtaken by Man U in 1968.

as far as his incompoetence and not maximising income - it isn';t just the advertising

he also farmed out all the inhouse catering matchdays, functions etc = a former lucrative earner - why because he couldn't be bothered, sports direct didn't benefit from it.
