    Dickinson-6
    Duffy-4

    Hawkridge-4
    Stead-5
    Forte-7
    subs- Ameobe-6

    Alessandro-5

Might be a bit generous on a few, lucky to get a point with worse home performance of the season.
A bit of concern following on from last weeks loss.

    Collin - 6 - A few dodgy moments

    Tootle - 6 - Steady
    Dickinson - 6 - As above
Duffy - 6 - A few mix ups with Collin could have ended worse
    Brisley - 6.5 - Solid enough

Hawkridge - 5 - Very poor by his standards
Grant - 6 - Tried but didn't quite come off for him
Yates - 5 - Really like him but he was gash today
Milsom - 7 - Was my MOM even before the goal, always looking to go forward

Forte - 6 - Plenty of energy but little impact. Better from the bench
Stead - 5 - Not his best game

    Subs:

Ameobi - 6.5 - We looked far more dangerous once he was on
    Hewitt - 6 - Little impact
    Allessandra - 5.5 - Didn't get into the game

I would say more than generous on a few . Hawkridge , Yates and Stead were awful . Alessandro and Hewitt when they came on were just as bad .

FGR were a stern test, lively and organised. They were sharper for most of the game and we grabbed a point out of sheer doggedness and resilience. Overall, scrappy and far too clumsy in possession.

Collin - apart from shocking kicks, did ok, started rolling ball out late on & it helped - 6
Tootle - no frills or finesse but battled away all day, gave little away - 6
Duffy - a couple of "moments" early on but recovered well and as solid in 2nd half, very assured - 6
Brisley - caught flat footed a few times and struggled with Doidge occasionally but generally ok - 6
Dickinson - all grit and determination, played some decent passes in 2nd half too - 6
Hawkridge - wasteful and clumsy, far too slow on the ball - 4
Yates - poorest I've seen him, couldn't mark, tackle or pass - 4
Milsom - the crude challenge aside, a beacon of calm and composure, deserved his goal - 8
Grant - borderline anonymous at time but showed glimpses of quality and gets the ball into the box - 6
Forte - this bloke put another great shift in, causes problems and very lively, pity he couldn't manage a shot - 7.5
Stead - last home game was the best I've sen from him, back to usual ineffective self and off the pace today - 4

    Alessandra - busy but unproductive - 5
Hewitt - as bad as Yates, shocking distribution - 4
Ameobi - big, awkward, creates problems for defenders (Note to Stead - this is what you could have done) - 6

They were. Hawkridge looked lightweight and didn't seem to have the same tenacity as usual. Yates was clumsy and ineffective. Stead was just his usual plodding self - high time he was dropped.

Midfield played far too deep and could not be trusted not to give the ball away or to find a Notts man in front of them, this leads defenders with no choice but to lob the ball forward over their heads, straight to the FGR midfielders who knew the centre of the field was theirs.

Sounds to me like the players let the Mansfield loss in midweek get to them. All the more important that they salvaged a point today.

I've said for a while Yates' passing is cr*p but today it was on another level, him and Hawkridge were both awful and I would have been tempted to sub both before half time. Tootle and Forte both played alright and Ameobi showed just how important he is to us in his few minutes, once we actually decided to start trying to use him.

No surprise today, in my opinion. Mark Cooper is a decent manager and he set out his stall how to play Notts. This game could prove to be a turning point in FGRs season, I just hope last week's wasn't a turning point in Notts'. Virtually all of the Notts' squad have been performing in the team environment and confidence has been sky high. Yet again Mansfield have put the brakes on Notts'. Without not wanting to sound like many pessimists on here, we may be in for a shaky few weeks and KN will have to earn his keep.

Collin 5.5 - routine saves, caught out with a couple of crosses.
Tootle 6 - looked generally competent.
Duffy 5.5 - never looked convincing.
    Brisley 5.5 - as above.
Dickinson 6 - offered himself for a pass and got forward at times.
Hawkridge 4.5 - Struggled to get involved, didn't beat a player all afternoon.
Yates 4.5 - tried to get involved but very little went right for him.
Milsom 6.5* - wayward passes, but stuck at it and got his reward.
Grant 5.5 - frustrating afternoon, always on the periphery of the game.
Forte 6 - our most dangerous attacker but never looked like scoring, which summed us up.
Stead 4.5 - clumsy at times, another who struggled to get involved.

Alessandra 5 - no worthwhile contribution.
Hewitt 4.5 - poor passing, didn't offer much.
Ameobi 6 - at least posed a bit of a physical threat.

Very few players did enough to manage even an 'average' rating. A pity we put in such a poor performance in front of such an excellent crowd. I doubt many will be in a rush to repeat the experience.
