That sentence makes the whole article suspect IMO. iirc the reputation of Newcastle was far from this. Blowing wads of cash on sh*te players for years, topped off by the 17 million quid on a ´past it´Michael Owen hardly paints a rosey ´business´picture.

It's just poorly punctuated I read it a couple of times. And it definitely means Ashley had a reputation for being a fine business man

    absolutly
    and guess what
    ash can afford his debt
    the northern numpties couldnt

ash seems to be trying to sell to the right people
the northern numpties sold it to ash for ****s sake

we are in a far better situation as a club and its future than we were at the ned of those northern lads ownership

and if ash is a failed buisness man i wish i was a few quid behind him

any northern buisness,s going to buy the toon ??

i think the figures are very misleading

revenue is only down by 2.5 million

but that is way outweighed by the interst free loan repayments and the free advertising

And guess what. Ashley has taken us down to the Fizzy twice this century with the likes of Blackburn, Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday doing the double over us whilst those so called Northern Numpties had us on a par with Manure and above Citeh, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spuds and Chelski while regularly giving us a good run in Europe.

I suggest you hold your fire until we see if Ashley and Co are risking facing criminal charges for their dubious financial dealings which may result in points deductions.

Will you be bragging about that Pboro.
