I'm English first thanks Rod. Ask the Jocks where their allegiance lies and it wont be British first I can assure you. They'll take deep joy as usual when we fail. It will be free drinks all round up and down Sauchiehall St AGAIN. Do we do that this side of the border?

I remember working up there in 1974 when they qualified for the WC and we didn't. They celebrated more our failure than their 'success'.

I'm proudly Yorkshire 1st and England 2nd and have absolutely no desire to be associated with any of the also rans.

Supporting a team that's won the premier competition it competes in 30 odd times, about 20 more than any other club, and they finish halfway up the league renders them also rans?

If we were all as fickle as you in support of their club then that would be bad for any sport.

Supporting YCCC does not need to have the TRUE bit in front of it just to (try to) impress others.

Halfway up the league,an 8 team league. I was of course talkin of this season's pish poor efforts by the White Rose,also rans at best,they struggled to survive.Fickle,me? Would you be happy if SUFC finished 12th this year?.

Not our best year obviously but would SUFC have been promoted without Fleck, Coutts, O'Connell, Sharp,Freeman and Moore away on international duty for all or most of the season? With Wright and Basham injured for most of the season?

You need to compare apples with apples to get a meaningful balance.
