They seem to have decided that it's better to keep the single market intact without the UK than to keep the UK happy and risk the future of the single market.

It goes back to the Trump style negotiations. If you have absolute power and people need something from you, while you don't need anything from anybody, you can act like that. That's why Trump can get away with behaving like a childish god-king when running his business or speaking to people on his reality shows, but he seems to have trouble adjusting to the real world where nobody (thankfully) has absolute power and we are all interconnected.

A significant part of Brexiteers seem to have similar trouble getting their heads round this concept too.
....but it's being dragged out because one side, the EU, has categorically refused to discuss future trading terms UNTIL we agree to a Divorce Bill plus EU citizens Rights?.......they've stated their position numerous times.......we keep offering to discuss these matters if they are part of a wider discussion

As far as I can see, this is not going to resolve itself until the EU stop trying to play the bully....which is why the Tories need to re-emphasise that we are prepared to take a "no deal" scenario rather than pay a ransom demand....of course it's going to hurt in the short-term .....but it's the price that most loyal Brits will pay, in return for their Freedom.

That's what a significant number of Remoaners seem to have trouble getting into their heads.....the concept of Freedom

So where is this big pool talent we have? Specifically, where is it in the Tory party? We have a Prime Minister who doesn't have the respect of her own party let alone the wider public. We are entering the most important phase of government for generations led by a lame duck.

I've said it before, Theresa May is by far the biggest asset the Labour party possess.

James Cleverly....certainly a candidate for the Front Benches....possibly a future PM?

Here he is discussing Brexit, the Commonwealth, the "Divorce Bill/Ransom Demand" etc.....common sense, well-spoken

Like I said earlier they need to find/have a Blair like character that came from nowhere to win the labour leadership. The mob they have in the picture at present is a bit scary to say the least.

The Labour Party emphatically does not need another Blair. Fgs, the Tories are the government of the day NOW. Labour can sort out their situation LATER.

Remains to be seen what freedom will look like. I'll wager not that great (or free).

True, freedom is an illusion to keep the masses from rising up. You aren't really free to do anything unless you lose everything and everyone prevalent in your life and then you'd still need to fund freedom. Post Brexit Britain will be like Pre Brexit Britain only poorer and more run down.
