it is what is wrong with footy

But hey peanut, when did you actually like and support what was happening at the club?

You can't say that today was "drivel". We tried to attack almost of all the time. Are you still not entertained?

I was entertained by our performance today. Weren't you?

Are you suggesting that we play 2 strikers and play further up the pitch, get our wingers and full backs forward at every opportunity?? We don't have enough quality players yet to do this and still win. Surely it's not hard to understand that if we go all out attack then we will be ripped to shreds at this level? Sorry but you sound like a 10 year old.

Today, they scored the second equaliser because we lost possession while attacking. If we hadn't tried to score on the break then we'd probably be sitting here with 3 points instead of 1. I don't mind that we haven't - we gave it a go and tried to kill off the game.

You complained all last season about our style of play and you still are now. We are a team that concedes possession but the stats show that we attack plenty and we had more shots on goal and on target than Soton, as well as more corners too. You being a real supporter who goes to all the games, I would've thought you'd have realised all this by now.

i thought you just followed nowadays
you dont seem to make many sacrifices to support the toon

    where as i do

as for yesterday we did attack more

but why we cant do that all the time is beyond me
we are giving to many teams too much respect

watford burnley etc play good attacking footy

we seem to be more concerned with staying in the prem and watching divel week in week out whe you have paid so much to be entertained than to actually say oh well at least we give it a go

the trouble is to many plastics just come to games sit on their hands just so they can say the toon are in the prem
    and achieved whatt ??

You just don't understand many supporters do you. I for instance live over 350 miles away by road and also have a seven day per week business commitment which for the sake of my kids and grandkids I need to devote to.

There are many others who also can't attend, most of whom live nearer than me, the likes of Jammy, Sherwood, Ashingtoon, RonandTet, Terrymac, Kevbroon, Geordie_exile_de, Goth, JonnyRubber, and many more.

But you have NEVER been man enough to take issue with ant of them have you. Kindly explain.

Quite simple Bill, he knows he will get a bite from you. Instead of taking the bait, just ignore the bugger.

When I see posts from Peebrother it reminds me of why I post less ! Anyway enough has been said previously about his attitude towards Rafa & the team.
I have so much admiration for the way Rafa is rehabilitating our great club.To hear such positive comments on MOTD2 largely based on how organised we are with such a solid spine fills me with confidence for the future. We now have a TEAM/UNIT capable of holding our own & much more in this league. We are no longer a pushover - far from it - as substantiated by statistics from recent games.
As for the new signings - they have largely proved many including myself wrong - they are a breath of fresh air in an era of grossly inflated prices & appear genuinely proud to be wearing the black n white shirt.
I cannot wait to make my usual drive along the M62/A1 for the Palace match !!!
I like many criticise when there is lack of effort but we now have that & quality in abundance.
One final plea - Pat move on & don't be drawn in again. IN RAFA WE TRUST,

Apologies - just a footnote - not having proof read my post I appear to have said we have a lack of effort in abundance - faux par on my part
