January has to be about forwards in my opinion but then I felt that way in the summer transfer too. I think managers have to put up with players playing well enough in training to be picked for the weekend only to not perform in the matches that matter. I tend to look at the whole picture in the prem and take note that a lot of teams are disappointing their fans this season. Everton, Stoke, West ham, Leicester for example are underperforming. Changing our manager at this point would be suicide in my opinion, it would take at least ten games to get used to the changes by which time we would be screwed. We know we can perform well, we just arent doing it consistently enough. Thats the problem a lot of teams are facing this season.
I admire your optimism boingy, but I can't agree that it would be suicide to sack Pulis, but it may well be suicide to keep him. He wanted competition for places, and he has that now, so why does he continually play players out of position? There is no rhyme or reason as to how he sets up this team, He baffles me now, and I really think the time has come for him to go.

I understand a lot of the comments here but a part of me still worries that breaking a settled set up is more worrying than waiting for Pulis to get us back on track. Will the new manager get on with the board? will he mess up the dressing room and have a clear out to replace them with what? Will the style change too much to offensive with no defence? It might excite us to start with but will it mess up a settled bunch? There's always the chance it could work out ok but many a good manager has messed up on moving to a new club. Everyone wanted Mark Hughes at stoke but I find him totally ineffective as a manager. Everyone said what a great fit Evertons manager was but he's struggling. I am always happy when one of the prem clubs loses a manager because I know it will take a long time to get on track. Whatever happens we will always be behind the baggies but we cant afford to go down into the championship at any price. Its crucial we stay in the Prem.

Crucial we stay in the Prem but I can't see us doing so under Pulis. He's never been relegated. That doesn't mean he never will be. Not sure the players are behind him anymore either. Their body language suggests they aren't happy. Most put a shift in but look unhappy.

I think there several reasons activity has dropped off on the board. The overly aggressive advertising - especially a recent video based one that kept reloading, it just pis*es people off as you can't even compose a post properly. Of late and this is just my opinion, we've had a lot of decent threads that have been hijacked with childish behaviour and mud slinging with one individual in particular normally involved which makes you think why bother? Add top that the general inertia that most teams aren't going to win anything and a half reasonable finish and a cup run are as good as it gets and you can see why interest in all things Premier League is waining. When you think about it, it does seem daft spending good money to watch a contest you know you will never win.

As for the football; I watched Kiddy harriers last week play Chester and had more entertainment than I did against Bournmouth, West Ham and Watford combined. There seems a lot more connection at this level between players and supporters like the top level used to be. Too many people - ST Holders, regulars, pundits are all saying our football is dull for this view to be ignored. I like TP and up until fairly recently have defended him as he deserves credit but, we need to move on. Ideally, I'd like to see him stay but move us to the next phase where our best players get played in position, those players with flair be allowed to show it and be watching a team who dont spend 90 minutes sitting deep reliant on free kicks and corners. I'm now thinking that with the squad we have, it will never happen as I don't mind losing if we are in transition for the better but I just think it will be more of the same. It's so sad as on our day we can play some good stuff that would get people back but it seems the die has been cast. That said, I'm not sure what the answer is with who's out there as there's a lot of dross so its a hard one.

I've been using the Opera browser for years, the ******* on there is good, if you use the private tab you can also enable a VPN, for games that are blocked here with the VPN it is a good choice to have.

We have lost many good posters of our board, and we are playing well at the moment, so it can't be the poor standard of football.
Ohh that has happened to me as well before Abbo!.
When a long post has taken ages to write and then it doesnt 'work' for whatever reason and it also cant be back-tracked etc. So you have to write it all again, know what I mean. lol.
I see/hear a lot of fans talk about ad-blocker whatever that is, and I dont use it so obviously I have to put up with the ads. But FM never used to do this, they really did disappoint fans when they 'sold out' to the constant use of ads.

I've never had this happen, thankfully. The blocker must be a wonderful thing. Had it for ages. The only ads I see are a line of 4 across the top of the page, and they are totally unobtrusive. Also, it's free1

    Good points
Think of them who are on the bench or not in the squad. Having to watch the likes of Livermore's none performances every week and not getting a game.

If Someone put up a post about a one armed black lesbian who was being denied fertility treatment due to her nut allergy we'd no doubt get the usual people turning up for the political bun fight but when it comes to football matters I think sites like this have had their day.

Once the final dozen of us have died off there will just be Des left on here talking to himself!

Not much changes then really :-)

Sad tbh.....a vibrant community a few years ago before FaceAche and Insta f u c k
